Monsuno story 2 chapter 11. in to the fire.

"Lost them?! What the hell do you mean you lost them, and you're telling me you still haven't found that little punk who broke into our warehouse yet?!!" Trey  spat at the S.T.O.R.M. captain  pictured on the computer screen infront of him. "A thousand apologies commander Trey sir, I currently have my men scowering every  inch of the forests if those  three are anywhere in the immediate area we will find them." Trey growled in an irratated tone and  tapped on the table with his right hand. "You had better captain, because If you screw up again I will make sure you are on latrine duty for the rest of your life! Do I make myself clear, why are you still wasting time Go!!!" Trey spat and  slammed the power button  off  cutting the transmission off. "Hemm, You know, those computers aren't cheap Trey. Don't think it's a good idea to pound on them like that." Said Kiki in a taunting way as she waggered into the room and leaned against the door frame.  Trey was in no mood for her witty banter at the moment he was already in hot water with Charlemange already  and having to inform her that another of thier bases had been destroyed by Midnight and Daybreak  and this new Sunrise Character.  He may as well hand in his badge and cores now.  "Heh You know once  your gone, Charlemange will be needing a new second in command. I suppose I could take up the position, I'd no doubt have those Coretech brats captured within a week if I was." Trey  flew up and out of his seat, sending it clattering to the ground as he did so Then he turned and  glared at Kiki, he  grit his teeth and began advancing towards the  18 year old girl, "You, listen up, and listen damn good little missy, No one and I mean No one is taking my position from me. I've worked too long and too hard to get this far. The day I let a snot nosed brat like you steal it from me is the day I tap dance on the sun!!"  

"If I knew it would be this easy to  push your buttons I would of started along time ago."  Trey was starting to reach for Riccoshot's core on his belt, Charlemange expressly forbid combat amongst her inner circle but right now he couldn't care less he just wanted to  make Kiki shut up for good. "Commander Trey, Commander Kiki!" Said an Elite as he came rushing into the room Trey and Kiki instantly  broke away from each other and turned to face him. "Yes what is it soldier?" Kiki asked. "Reporting in, There is an Airship  that has been detected over the town of Pigeon forge, we have positive ID of doctor Klipse on board that vessel." Said the  Elite. "If Klipse and his group are here, then Strata is also with them no doubt." Trey thought.  this also meant that Coretech would probably come to the battlefield as well  playing the goody two shoes hero card. "I want all available Elites and soldiers  ready to mobilize immediately!  Today is the day we officially  bring in Doctor Klipse once and for all!" Trey said as he  pushed past Kiki and  started for the   munitions room. "Is this wise,  according to protocall, we have to  clear a  mission like this with Charlemange." Kiki said. "So I'm breaking a few rules!  I can't face the Comandant marshal right now." Trey said "I thought I told you to get ready for battle soldier now move!"  Kiki just rolled her eyes, this plan already wreeked of failure. Still, It very well could play to her hands.

Back at Team Coretech's Lab train, Jon and Jeredy were already cooking up some new Monsunos for the team to use  with the Essence that Blake had stolen for them.  " Let's see, perhaps if we take  a small sample of  hawk DNA and blend it together with that of a lizard..." Jeredy said as he   mixed the different Samples together with in  the beakers in his hands. "Jeredy, careful,  last thing we want is  for the creature to be ineffective for the kids to use. One mistake and  we may make a useless beast." Jon said  as he  loaded the chemical elements with inside a blank core. "I'm sorry Jon, I'm just well distracted. " said the   black haired man as he poured in a new solution. "I know old friend, Seems like our lives have  been nothing but a fight for survival lately, no wonder you are frazzled. "  "I should of never  started with this project! My work with the Monsuno ruined my relation ship with Amanda, it's put the lives of countless individuals in jeopardy,  turned several towns into battlefields, and  now  ripped the life from my only son and the grandson of one of my best friends."  Jeredy said  his voice shaking as he  spoke. "Doc, I'm sure Jack would understand  why Zak got caught up in all this, After all why else would he of made Tigerhawk for him if he didn't?"   said Vakuso  as he entered the room having heard all of that he said. "And I'm sure,  Chase and Mom  understoon what your work meant. They never would of wanted to to give up on your  goals." Luna said.

Jeredy wasn't as convinced however. He did  recomend pulling the plug on this entire project before when he worked back at S.T.O.R.M. with Jack, Klipse and Jon. He knew there was the danger that the Monsunos couldn't be controlled. "Too little too late though." He muttered under his breath, Jeredy opened the Pandora's box that started all this mess and the only way to close it was to keep fighting.  Just then an alarm sounded  in the main car and that of course meant only one thing, trouble.  "No rest for the wheery." Vakuso said   as he and Luna charged though the door and headed for the main car. Jeredy sighed as he  followed.  "Good timing, look like we've got company, and not the kind you wanna invite in for Milk and cookies either." Jinja  joked  trying to  make the situation seem a little less desperate. "Who is it?" Jeredy ordered.  "Well looks like, Klipse, and if he's here you know Ben and the Strata goons are with him. So Charlemange will be  sending her guys out to counter them." Arabelle said.  "We have no choice, we're going to have to split up. One group will battle Klipse, the other will intersept the S.T.O.R.M.  unit." Luna said. "Jinja, take Dax, Bren and Beyal with  you and  go try and hold back Klipse,  Belle take Lumimari, Blake and Shea and head off the S.T.O.R.M.  forces, As for Zach, Vakuso and Jon, we'll stay here and  protect the  lab train we can't risk either Klipse or Charlemange getting Dad."

The team had never really broken up into this small of teams before and it had its own set of risks, If any one team was caught it was likely that they would be on thier own. Still this was too important to  not do, they were Earth's only hope.  "Ok guys, Let's do this." Jinja said raising up Charger's core into the air, The others each did the same with one of thier own  touching them together as a sign of unity. "Team Coretech forever!"  

"Bren, wait a second." Luna said as she pulled the  glasses wearing young man aside to a  secluded area outside the Lab train. she hoped that  here she could talk to him alone  for a few minutes before he had to head out to the fight. "Are, Are you ok, Luna?" he asked.  Luna couldn't bring herself to look at Bren right now as she   turned her head and gripped her left fore arm tight, her teeth  were biting down on her lower lip  rather tight making a slow trickle of blood run down her mouth. "No, No I'm not ok Bren. I'm scared. I'm worried I'm sending you off to die like Chase and Zak did in that  explosion. I'm scared I've  made the wrong choices. What if we can't win this battle?" She asked. Bren would of been lying if he said he wasn't scared of that himself, he wasn't a fighter by nature he was a brain and that was just fine for him. Still it wasn't like he could just chicken out and have his friends cover for him. To Bren that would be like  spitting in Chase and Zak's faces and telling them that thier friendships meant nothing to him.  That he didn't care if the entire  human race fell under Klipse's control or Charlemange's. Bren  just grinned and  wiped off Luna's  lip  gently    with the sleeve of his shirt before embracing her in his arms. "Luna, I trust your judgement.  I seriously doubt that you have it in you to make a bad call. " Bren said he had total faith in Luna's leadership, besides he had Jinja, Beyal and Dax with him they were part of the original team they could handle anything Klipse sent thier way. "You have to come back, Promise me  you'll come back." Luna said. Bren never answered her, instead he gently leaned into her  and  placed his lips over top of hers. The kiss was unexpected but very, very welcome.   The two felt an aurora of emotions running though them as they shared the tender moment.  They both wished so badly that it could last forever. "Yo Bren! Let's go we got a fight to get to!!" Dax yelled. "Damn it Dax!!!" Luna growled  as she  and Bren seperated. "Hey No worries, I'll come back and what do you say we continue from here?" he said.  Luna nodded as she smiled a bit before watching Bren and the others each head out to thier assigned areas. "Please all of you come back, Please." She  whispered.

Once the Teams were sent out to battle Jeredy  was quick to rush  back to his   private lab car, He said he had to get the new Monsunos finished as soon as he could and send them out to the kids. But in reality he was working on something else all together. He   made sure the door was closed before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small  phone dialing a number as he did so. "It's me, Things have changed, Klipse is here and on the move. I have a feeling this fight is going to be a bad one. We may have to change the plan some and  bring you in sooner then we thought."
